CDM CO-ORDINATOR

Since the introduction of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) in 1994, and through the recent 2007 update, NIFES provides the role of CDM Co-ordinator (formerly Planning Supervisor) for a wide variety of clients. Our CDM Co-ordinators can work on independent client projects or as part of our portfolio of design and project works; NIFES can supply experienced and registered individuals from each of its offices.

The NIFES CDM Co-ordinator role provides our clients with full support through all stages of a construction project, which includes:

• Support in understanding and complying with the client responsibilities of the CDM 2007 Regulations
• Understanding and completing the notification requirements of the Health and Safety Executive
• Compiling and issuing of the Pre-Construction Information for the design and tender processes
• Verification of the competency of project team members
• Assessing and supporting the development of the Principal Contractors' Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans
• Assessing and supporting the development of Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Hazard/Risk Registers
• Construction site inspections and audits
• Developing and collating of the final Project Health and Safety File
