ASSET REGISTERS
Helping you Manage your Assets
NIFES has carried out a multitude of commissions on Asset Management Services since the early nineties. Asset Registers are the basis of an efficient, workable maintenance system.
NIFES often develops Asset Registers as part of a wider remit (such as a condition appraisal) or as a stand-alone exercise. In existing Asset Registers, NIFES will independently validate and verify maintenance tasks and their frequencies. |

We also ensure that the register is comprehensive in covering all assets required to be logged.
Registers can be presented simply as an MS Excel spreadsheet or in the form of a bespoke or patent FM database.
The level of asset information collected varies according to each client’s requirements. This results in a comprehensive Asset Register linked with recognised PPM tasks to an agreed maintenance regime. |
An Asset Register is tailored to the client’s requirements – scope, detail and extent of service; it usually includes data in the following categories:
- Unique asset number
- Description of asset
- Manufacturer of asset
- Model or Reference
- Serial number
- Capacity or Rating
- System to which asset relates (e.g. electrical system)
- Category of asset (e.g. distribution boards)
- Location of asset
- Position of asset
- Maintenance requirements or tasks
- Schedules and frequency planning
NIFES' Services cover:
- Asset Surveys
- Compilation of Asset Registers
- Development of PPM systems
- Validation of existing Asset Registers and PPM regimes
- Linking of PPM to works orders
