OUR APPROACH

This project initially involved carrying out fire risk assessments and the development of fire strategies for West Berkshire Councils portfolio of buildings. Risk ranked and prioritised fire action plans were provided for each building allowing schemes of works to be set in place to address high and significant risks, where budget allowed.

Following this, NIFES carried out the detailed specification, including liaising with Building Control and tender process along with the Project management and sign off of the required fire remedial works for a large number of properties including schools, care homes & leisure centres.

Once the works were completed the fire strategy was updated along with the fire risk assessment for the relevant buildings.
