PROJECT BACKGROUND
NIFES Consulting Group has provided corporate health, safety and fire services to the New Victoria Hospital, Kingston, London.
The New Victoria Hospital is one of the UK’s leading specialist independent hospitals. As a private healthcare operator it provides specialist care and health services including operating theatres, outpatients, imaging and x-ray, endoscopy and plastic surgery amongst others.
OUR APPROACH
NIFES Safety and Risk Division have undertaken an array of safety services to assist this client in maintaining a high level of statutory compliance.
Annual audits of the hospital have been conducted to ensure that hazards are identified and managed in order to minimise risks to staff, patients and visitors. This identification process then provides an action plan to ensure that risks can be logged and managed effectively.
Under this contract NIFES acts as Health, Safety and Fire advisor to the Hospital and also sits on the various Health and Safety Committee’s. Corporate advice and recommendations can then be provided as necessary. This advisory work has led to capital projects and refurbishment projects where safety improvements have been made by the hospital as the estate looks to mitigate any known risk. NIFES provides mandatory training programs to this client covering health and safety, Fire Marshall, manual handling, conflict resolution, COSHH and DSE.

Project Results
The New Victoria Hospital regularly demonstrates the highest levels of health, safety and fire through internal and external audits and inspections.
NIFES have assisted the hospital to ensure that CHKS inspections, CQC visits and Fire Brigade inspections all demonstrate that the hospital operates in the safest way possible.
NIFES flexible approach to training has also ensured that the New Victoria Hospital always achieves 100% attendance across their Mandatory Training programme.
