In June 2019, the UK became the first major economy to pass legislation that commits the country to net zero emissions by 2050. In other words, the target is to reduce net greenhouse gas emissions by 100%, relative to 1990 levels, by the middle of this century.

A few years ago only the most progressive organisations invested in achieving net zero carbon (NZC), mainly through the use of renewable energy sources, of course now, the case for renewable energy has become overwhelming.

As you would expect from an energy-focussed consultant, NIFES has significant expertise in the most commonly employed renewable technologies such as ground-source heat-pumps, air source heat pumps, biomass heating, photovoltaics, solar-thermal and wind power.
