NIFES has conducted extensive feasibility studies and designed and managed the installation of numerous solar PV systems including:

he project to install PV on 273 London properties began with surveys of 2,638 street properties and 794 multi-occupancy housing blocks. A PV capacity of 6MWp was shown to be viable and NIFES designed the installations, handled the Planning applications and worked with the DNO on G83 and G59 grid connection agreements.

Changes to Feed-in-Tariffs curtailed the project but 1.75MWp of panels were installed on 273 properties at a cost of £5m. NIFES managed the entire project and the client is now enjoying huge CO2 reductions and cost savings of around £500k each year.

Our experienced consultants use proven software to accurately predict the total available annual energy generation. We then combine our extensive knowledge of the products, design requirements and current tariffs to produce a detailed analysis of the financial viability of each potential project.

Our electrical engineers have the skills and experience to design the system connections and the metering arrangements to ensure the installation is FIT scheme accredited. We have extensive experience of G83 and G59 agreements for the connection of embedded generation to the electricity grid.

We also manage the Planning application process and can project manage the whole contract including commercial management and performance testing.
