Window Restrictor Surveys

The issues

For many years now the risk of falls from open windows has been around us. This unfortunate event has come through accidental and intentional incidents.

It has been widely recognised that restrictions have to be put in place to stop these incidents happening. At NIFES we have worked closely with many organisations, assisting them and advising on practical means of safety, security and building regulation compliance.

As part of NIFES “working close” partnerships, we have combined the “NIFES Window safety assessment tool” with the requirements of the Department of Health’s advisory document HTM 55. This gives us inside and in-depth knowledge of the specific requirements of a large organisation, with a vast and varied building portfolio.

In addition where training has been identified as an issue NIFES can provide a 3 in1 training course covering the necessary mandatory health & safety training requirements (General Health & Safety, Manual Handling and Fire).

We can also provide valuable corporate advice to help run your estate in a compliant and safe manner.
