Fire doors save lives. They play a crucial role in the fire safety of your building. They are designed to stop fires from spreading through a building, allowing time for people to escape and the Fire Service time to attend and effectively intervene to prevent further fire spread and risk to other occupants.

However, if they are not installed or maintained correctly, they will not provide this critical protection. Everyday use of fire doors can result in slight alterations to the door and its surroundings, and this can affect the performance of the door in the event of a fire.

It is a legal requirement that fire doors are subject to a suitable system of maintenance and are maintained in an efficient state, in efficient working order and in good repair.

Following our fire door inspection, you will receive a report which provides a detailed breakdown of the safety check of each door along with a photo of each door. The report also includes a full list of any remedial actions needed to bring the doors up to the necessary standard and a priority rating.

As we do not carry out any of the remedial work on the doors, you can also be confident that our inspections are independent.

We can prepare user-friendly schedules of works, drawings and specifications for contractors to price against and implement. In addition we can provide on-going support to the contractor and conduct an inspection of completed works to provide assurance that remedial works are completed to an adequate standard.
